It all started back in 2024 when we didn't get a chance to properly celebrate your actual birthday weekend. We decided to pick another weekend in the summer, and I put together a fun-filled, action-packed couple of days featuring all your favorite things. It was such a hit that you said it "sustained you for a long time"—and just like that, an annual tradition was born.
Yes! The biggest takeaway: do not overschedule. That first weekend was incredibly fun, but we were both completely exhausted by the end of it. That's why the vibe has evolved a bit to make sure there's plenty of time to actually relax.
Over the past two years, we’ve racked up some legendary moments. Some of the best memories include seeing Corey Henry on drums, taking the water taxi to the Wharf, doing the crossword puzzle with sandwiches at the Life Time pool, watching a movie in bed, going to church, and grilling hot dogs.
We also had some huge breakthroughs (finally playing tennis together and hitting up Quarterdeck!), plus trips to the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum, dirt biking, dim sum, Guitar Center, the Budd's Creek motocross race, and, of course, Bugsy's.
